Yesterday the exhibition Re:New Wallace #5 at R-Space Gallery (Lisburn, Northern Ireland) closed its doors. I had the pleasure to take part of this adventure thanks to the Richard Wallace Artist Residency programme, presented by R-Space Gallery, in association with the Wallace Collection in London.
For the 150th anniversary of the first Wallace fountain in Paris, I have been selected with two Northern Irish artists to create an animated short film on the story of the first Wallace fountains erected in Paris in 1872 by Sir Richard Wallace during the Paris siege. Meg Earls directed and animated Oh, l'eau, l'eau!, and I scored it with Neil Foster. The visitors of the exhibition had the chance to watch it sourrounded by all sorts of objects linked to Richard Wallace and his fountains, from April 9th to May 6th. We hope the film will be screened in a near future in Paris, and elsewhere... especially during the city-wide celebrations in association with the Society of the Wallace Fountains later this year.
